God’s Inspired, Preserved Word Not just in the original manuscripts

The Truth (“Thy word is truth,” Jn. 17:17)
Councels (Isa 25:1)
Thy Word (v 9, 17)
Law (Thy law is the truth, Ps 119:142)
Statutes (Ps 119:8, 23)
Precepts (Ps 119:15, 27)

God’s Word: Pure, Perfect, Inspired, Infallible.

(Most churches believe in this, but they claim that God’s word was only perfect “in the originals.” But they have two major problems: God promised to preserve His words (see below) and the fact is that the originals no longer exist. Since man must live on EVERY word of God (Matt 4:4), we must assume that God preserved His word PERFECTLY so that we would have EVERY WORD of God. If God’s word were only perfect in the long lost “originals,” then God must have lied when he said that He would preserve His word. But we know that God cannot lie. “Yea, let God be true, but every man a liar.” God must have preserved His word.)

Psalm 12
6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Proverbs 30
5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Psalm 19
7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

Psalm 119
86 ALL thy commandments are faithful. . .

96 I have seen an end of all perfection: but thy commandment is exceeding broad.
138 Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful.
140 Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.
142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and THY LAW IS THE TRUTH.
151 Thou art near, O LORD; and ALL thy commandments are truth.
160 Thy word is true FROM THE BEGINNING: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
172 My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.

John 17
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: THY WORD IS TRUTH.

(Note: all the preceding verses are in present tense. “The words of the Lord ARE pure words; Every word of God IS pure; Thy word IS truth.” Also note that none of these verses even mention the originals. It DOES NOT say “Every word of God is pure in the originals.” It says “EVERY word of God is pure.” This means that the word of God is pure currently, and not just in the long-lost ‘originals.’)

2 Timothy 3
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Psalm 119

128 Therefore I esteem ALL thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.

Isaiah 25
1 O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

Psalm 138
2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

Hebrews 6
5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

James 1
25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Matthew 4
4 . . . It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

God’s Word: Preserved, Enduring, With us for ever.

(God preserved each and every word.)

And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Lk 4:4

Jesus rebuked Satan by quoting Deut 8:3 here. This verse (and Matt 4:4) clearly state that we shall live by EVERY word of God. IF GOD EXPECTS US TO LIVE BY HIS EVERY WORD, THEN HE MUST HAVE PRESERVED EVERY WORD FOR US. IF HE DIDN’T PRESERVE EVERY WORD, THEN HOW ARE WE EXPECTED TO KEEP HIS COMMAND TO LIVE OUR LIVES BY EVERY WORD OF GOD? But, as is evident below, God did indeed promise to preserve His every word. Praise His holy name!

Psalm 12
6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

Psalm 119
160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and EVERY ONE of thy righteous judgments ENDURETH FOR EVER.

144 The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.
152 Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.
1 Peter 1
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
25 BUT THE WORD OF THE LORD ENDURETH FOR EVER. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

Isaiah 40
8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Psalm 100
5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Psalm 117
1 O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.
2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the Lord endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.

John 10
35 . . . and the scripture cannot be broken;

Matthew 5
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Luke 16
17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

The word jot means “the least part of something, a little bit” and tittle means “a very small part or quantity.” (Infoplease.com) The least part of God’s word will NEVER pass away. In fact, another meaning of tittle is “a dot or other small mark in writing or printing. . .” In these verses, did Christ not promise that not even a letter of God’s word would ever fail or pass away?

Luke 21
33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Ecclesiastes 3
14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

Isaiah 59
21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever. (The people would know God’s very words from generation to generation.)

Now you can see that God’s word is not perfect and infallible only in the originals, because God has promised to preserve it. Praise be the name of the Lord, for He has kept his promise! God cannot lie!

And if you still hold the belief that only the “originals” are perfect, can you please give me some Scripture to support it? Can you even find even ONE verse of Scripture to support your claim? Is there even a SINGLE scripture that says that it is infalliable only in the originals?

For so is the will of God, that with well doing
ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.

1 Pet 2:15
